Re: Currency exchange for Bologna trip - Oct 2019

Hi Alan, There's no such thing as a silly question. Generally it's pretty straightforward to exchange sterling for euros in Bologna - it's a big enough town with plenty of banks and bureaux de change, and your tour manager will be able to point you in the right direction. Credit and debit cards are ...

Re: First time traveller

Ha ha, I'm glad to hear it. I hope you have a great time out there and am ever so slightly jealous (the office didn't think it necessary to send me out to taste test the various visits before setting up the tour).

Re: Douro cruise October 2019

Dear Briandoc, The baggage allowance for your Easyjet flight is 23kg of hold luggage and 1 piece of hand luggage per person. Your particular ticket is part of a group booking, therefore by default we will issue the tickets for you and your wife which will be sent out with your travel documents 10 da...

Re: Montenegro Sept 2019

Dear Diane,

Yes, there will be a Riviera Travel representative at Edinburgh airport to help with the check in process should you require it. They will be somewhere near the check in desks, so look out for the teal Riviera sign and/or clipboard.

Have a lovely trip!

Erik.

Re: First time traveller

Dear Alan, I totally understand your preference for travelling in January. Unfortunately given that it's winter in Europe most of our January departures are long haul and therefore it would be a stretch to describe them as short breaks (although it is all subjective I suppose). Hopefully as we grow ...

Re: First time traveller

Dear Alan, First of all welcome to Riviera Travel. I have to admit that January is a bit of a quiet period for us and so we don't have a huge selection to offer you then, with our 8-day Spectacular Nile cruise the closest to a short break (though it departs from Heathrow I'm afraid). However, if you...

Re: Classic Italy 7th October 2019

Dear Debbie, First of all welcome to Riviera and I hope you have a lovely holiday with us. With regards to the Colosseum, if you want to visit we highly recommend you purchase your ticket in advance as it is not possible to book them on the door and they are set for a specific entry time. I would th...

Re: First time traveller

Dear Jane and Hazel,

You will each be sent a couple of Riviera luggage labels in our very fetching shade of turquoise, so hopefully if everyone places one on both their hold and hand luggage then it should be easier for you to recognise and find each other!

Re: Montenegro Sept 2019

Hi Olivier,

In that case you should both be fine, but please do remember to take your passport as well, since Montenegro is not part of the EU you may not be able to travel there on a simple EU ID card.
